My Life as a San Francisco Realtor

World AIDS Day, December 1, 2012

34 million people worldwide are living with HIV, and 2.5 million were infected last year alone. In the US, the CDC says there is an alarming rise in the spread of HIV among teenagers and young adults, with 1,000 new infections each month. HIV is one of the leading infectious killers, claiming more than 25 million lives over the last 30 years.

15 years ago I launched my first ever website on December 1, 1997 for a World AIDS Day Internet Action. That was back in the day when the ISP you connected with also gave you a free website. Remember Sprynet, anyone? That website is long gone, and Sprynet became Earthlink. Everything changes. But I still have that website stored on my computer, in memory of two dear friends. And today brought back the memory.

World AIDS Day
