My Life as a San Francisco Realtor

Air Rights for Sale!

I can find a Real Estate or Architecture theme in just about any movie I watch. Think Balloon payments, foreclosure, late payments, Real Estate Developments, Air Rights, and Views!

In Burlesque, club owner Tess (Cher) and new star performer Ali (Christina Aguilera) finally come up with an idea to save the Burlesque Club from repossession. A new condo building (with Views) on the Sunset Strip across from the club is about to start selling condos for $1 million plus. Another developer Marcus (Eric Dane of 'Grey's Anatomy' fame) is trying to buy out the club at the last minute and build an office high rise, blocking most of the condo building's views.

Tess and Ali approach the condo developer and offer to sell the air rights over the club. And it saves the day. And Thank God! I loved this movie! I really wanted a Happy Ending!

Every real estate transaction has potential future developments nearby, especially if the views are at stake, even single family homes. The 60 story One Rincon Hill in downtown San Francisco had to make it evident to buyers on one side of the building that Bay Views could be downgraded in the future when the second tower was built. So Please, when looking for that home with a view, find a Realtor who is familiar with the area and knows the right questions to ask!
