My Life as a San Francisco Realtor: Pets are Wonderful

Pets are Wonderful

I just read on that new research published by the American Psychological Association (APA) shows that pets are also important sources of social and emotional support for "everyday people."

Well, knock me over with a feather!

They said, "Specifically, pet owners had greater self-esteem, were more physically fit, tended to be less lonely, were more conscientious, were more extraverted, tended to be less fearful and tended to be less preoccupied than non-owners."

Just take a look at the following photo of my 3 Chows. You see Love, Carefree Happiness and Caring all in one photo. Doesn't need a scientific study....

Anyone who thinks dogs aren't sentient, spiritual beings are completely out of touch with reality.

John, your chows are PRECIOUS!  No one can argue..PETS are PEOPLE too!  You are scientific study needed...their behavior is ENOUGH to determine their nature.  Love those pics!  :)  SMILES!

Pets are like blogging at home among loved ones.

We agree, did we really need a psychological study for what we have all known from way back when.  It makes me laugh!  I think pets keep us sane, when things go crazy.  Those are beautiful chows by the way.  Wishing you continued success. A

My Cats agree.

"Happy Cat" keeps the squirrel and bird population under control.   "Mr. Henry Pearson" (the Black Cat) is Lord over the neighborhood cats.

Those 2 Guys are my Trusted and Loyal Friends.

We have a cockapoo and 2 barn cats that adopted us 11 & 10 yrs ago respectively. We consider them family & they consider us part of the pack. They are loving, caring, fur bundles of spontaneous joy that make us laugh, warm our hearts, & welcome us home.

Can't tell you how many times I threw the ball tonight to a happy doggy and then sat and calmed myself down while first petting a cat and then a dog.  Yes, animals are fulfilling and so part of a family!

I'd be scared of me if I owned a pet John............but what you say makes perfect sense, and it all shows in the photo............nice!

Good morning John, there is nothing like coming home to a bunch of fur with waggin tails happy to see you! It always puts a smile on my face and I am confident in saying that having my fuzzy kids has made me a better person.

Thanks for stopping by everyone! My three guys are all hanging out with me in my home office - waiting for their morning walk. I think its their favorite part of the day. (And mine too) Catch you all later!

John, pets are very therapeutic! I will probably always have a dog by my side. Love, love, love dogs! :)  We currently have a gerbil, a beta and a goldfish as well.  Trying to talk my parents into getting a dog.  They have not had one for many years...but I know he/she would do them a world of good! They enjoy our dog Sophie SO much when they visit!

Every family needs a pet. I am a cat girl myself, but I love dogs too! Who can resist a happy tail-wagger who wants to smother you with kisses every day?
