I had a Broker Price Opinion to do today, out on San Francisco's Great Highway. I don't get out to the Pacific Ocean very often - it's just too darn cold a lot of the time, and often foggy. Luckily today was a bright, sunny day.
So after getting the photos that give me a good sense of the building for the BPO, I took a short walk across the Great Highway and in to the Ice Plant covered sand dunes that border Ocean Beach. I was rewarded with the most beautiful DEEP BLUE. Take a look.
A look to the South.
A look to the North with Cliff House in the distance.
And a different look at the City, and Sutro Tower, from the WEST.

Absolutely gorgeous John..............looks like a perfect day at the beach.
Wow, I think I will apply for BPO's in SF, I never get any really great vistas when I do BPO's here in Atlanta like that, thanks for sharing it was beautiful.
With such beautiful pictures I expected to see film speed, f-stop and a whole paragraph of technical photographer's information. Great day for a BPO.
Well, I think you had a "take your breath away" moment! or two! Absolutely beautiful John!
When it's clear and sunny it is georgous.....unfortunately that's not the norm!! BEAUTIFUL today!!!!
Gorgeous pictures! Thanks so much for sharing them with us. Glad to know the Pacific is still there, too. Haven't seen it in a while! ;-]
Thanks everyone! That's the benefit of living in SF. Every now and then, through the course of my usual day, I find myself just steps away from something beautiful. All it takes is a little extra time to take it all in!
Oh, and Richard, it's just a simple Sony Cybershot10.1.
The Pacific is beautiful. I live just minutes from the Atlantic and she is quite beautiful herself. I visit her often and I should bring a camera and share.
Absolutely gorgeous! Hey, I think we have the same camera - I know it is a Sony Cybershot. (I am pretty sure, anyway). Great minds think alike, right? ;-)
You should share Liz. I hope to be out there again on a sunny day when the kite surfers are out. It's a really colorful sight.
Oh yes, Susan. The camera is so easy to use and fits in a pocket. I have bigger, more expensive SLRs, but they just sit in the drawer.
Wow, that is a lot of blue. It doesn't look like that down here. Are you sure that is the Pacific?
I know Jane. Doesn't usually look like that here! It was an awsome chance of fate. Just goes to show you always need to be ready for that special look, that one special chance...
We have an Ocean Beach here, too, but it doesn't look anything like that! Our Ocean Beach is pretty much built up into a suburban beach.
Oh but Eric, the weather is much better where you're at. The views I took are usually shrouded in fog, and I'm wearing a warm coat!
