My Life as a San Francisco Realtor: Ocean Beach - San Francisco

Ocean Beach - San Francisco

Ocean Beach - San Francisco

It's a beautiful warm spring day in San Francisco. I visited my clients and friends at my latest listing in San Francisco: 2186 43rd Ave. today. They're a wonderful couple in their early 80s, and are selling their home of almost 50 years to move to Atria, an assisted living facility in Burlingame. I sincerely hope they'll be happy there - there's a whole back story to this, maybe I'll tell in a future blog series. I sure hope this all has a happy ending since it is so important to them.

We sat and chatted for an hour or more and then I convinced them to let me take a few photos of them for their memory, in the garden and in front of their home. Not to be published here - those photos are private and for their eyes only.

From their home, it's a short 5 block walk to Ocean Beach, and since today is such a beautiful day I couldn't resist. Crossing the Great Highway is a snap.

But look what you see once at the beach. Today it was pretty busy. Looking north to the Marin Headlands.

And looking south. It's supposed to be warm again Sunday, the first Open House day. The west side of San Francisco is a true gem on Sunny days. Don't miss it!

John,  The photos are great!  It appears San Francisco is having one of those rare beautiful, hot, sunny days! I wish you all the best with the sale of 2186 43rd Avenue.  I hope your clients will be happy living at Atria.  I am sure the decision to make the moved tugged at their heartstrings.

Hey John~It's hard for me to imagine those views being right out my back door. Today I would give anything to be able to walk down to the beach and sunbath. It's been raining all day, and it's a balmy 45 degrees.

Have an AWESOME evening!

Kathleen, this coming week is their last one at their house. They are moving May 1. And I still need to get the Estate Sale people over there. I hope I can give them some good news before they move.

It was fabulous at the beach yesterday Michael. This morning it is still foggy - maybe it will clear up.

John

When I lived in SF, I also liked going to Ocean Beach -- then stopping at The Beach Chalet or Cliff House. Now, the beach we go to is in Alameda, with fantastic views of the City. I should remember to bring my camera so I can share those views, too.

How lucky we are we live here.

Pacita, before I moved to San Francisco I had never lived anywhere more than 7 years. Here I am more than 25 years later - you're preaching to the choir!
